Meet Pamela
Pamela M. Yates, Ph.D., R. Psych is a Registered Forensic Psychologist, having received her Doctorate in Psychology in 1996.
Dr. Yates provides a range of services to adults, including individuals in conflict with the law, those who have experienced victimization, and individuals who have been psychologically injured in the workplace. Her clinical practice includes treatment for anger, addictions, trauma and abuse, violence, concerning sexual behaviour, and forensic psychological risk assessment.
Dr. Yates takes an evidence-based, positive psychological approach that draws on a range of therapeutic practices and methods, including motivational approaches, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches. Services are tailored to the unique needs of each individual client.
Dr. Yates is an active member of numerous professional organizations and a long-time volunteer in her professional and personal communities. She is a recipient of numerous awards, has published extensively, and delivers training across Canada and around the world.
